The Skatalites were a ska band from Kingston, Jamaica, formed in 1964. They were the originators of ska music and backed virtually every major Jamaican artist of the 1960s, including Bob Marley, Toots Hibbert, and Jimmy Cliff. They reunited in 1983 and continued performing.
