L7 were a grunge and punk band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1985. Featuring Donita Sparks, Suzi Gardner, Jennifer Finch, and Dee Plakas, they were one of the most prominent all-female rock bands of the early 1990s. Their 1992 album Bricks Are Heavy produced the hit "Pretend We're Dead."
