Clouded

noise alternative rock

Clouded was a Houston noise-pop band that stirred up a buzz with their Pixies-influenced sound. They first appeared on Justice Records' Hellhole compilation in 1994 and went on to earn multiple Houston Press Music Award nominations, including Album of the Year consideration for their 1997 self-titled release, produced by John Croslin (ex-Reivers). Guitarist Aaron Shafer died in 2000. The band reunited in 2010 for a benefit show at Rudyard's supporting the M.D. Anderson Lymphoma Clinic in Shafer's memory, performing alongside Project Grimm.
