Albert Collins was a blues guitarist and singer from Leona, Texas, known as "The Ice Man" for his cool-toned Telecaster sound. A major figure in Texas blues, he lived in Houston before relocating to the West Coast. He won a Grammy for his 1985 album Showdown! with Robert Cray and Johnny Copeland.
